聖誕金曲～英國藝人援非義唱「Do They Know It's Christmas ?」Band Aid (1984) @ 曬月光的凡爾賽玫瑰部落格

聖誕節的腳步近了！

每年這個時候總會拿出一些應景的聖誕CD來聽一聽，

這首「Do They Know It's Christmas？」是我的必播曲，

1984年聖誕節當天錄的，屈指一算已經超過20年了。

有人說～「Do They Know It's Christmas？」

是「英國版的We Are The World」，

雖然「烏鴉的窩」是比較紅沒錯，

但「Do They Know It's Christmas？」可是推出在前，

在1984年12月就發行了！

「We Are The World」則是1985年3月。

所以，「英國版的We Are The World」這句話是不太恰當的，

鋒頭都被美國人搶走已經怪可憐的了，

請留一點面子給英國人。

另外一首援非的「Tears Are Not Enough」

可說是加拿大版的「We Are The World」了，

鋒芒完全被美國人蓋住，

後來還被順便收入「We Are The World」的專輯中。

真像個受盡委屈的小媳婦啊！

這張CD吾人花了７００多銀兩才找到進口片，真感恩。

「Do They Know It's Christmas？」

這首單曲灌錄後火速上市，

瞬間成為英國單曲榜的冠軍之作，

兩星期後再攻陷美國Billboard冠軍寶座，

單在英國的銷售量便達到五百萬，

收益作為對衣索比亞的嚴重飢荒的食物與藥物供應。

似乎耶誕歌曲，不再只是高高興興的Jingle Bells或是Santa Claus

也令人藉著溫馨的日子裡，關心世界另一角落中悲慘的族群。

在台灣「Do They Know It's Christmas？」是首西洋老歌，

難得一聞.....

可是在英國，每年聖誕節街頭巷尾到處都聽的到，

就像台灣過年時會一直聽到什麼恭喜新年之類的，真是有趣。

這首歌實在有夠短，有唱的沒幾個人，當年都是大牌才唱得到。

當年我最喜歡的英國歌手～Paul Young開頭唱，

而且還獨唱兩次！可見當時他是數一數二的喔！

Boy George不知是離麥克風近還是特地安排的，音質特別清楚。

George Michael 唱的那句聲音真清亮，

John Taylor 跟 Tony Hadley 大帥哥兩枚！

Nick Rhodes 粉實在太厚了！覺得他不擦粉時其實也蠻帥的說...

Andy Taylor 好像可愛的小孩子。

Bananarama 脂粉未施的樣子，很漂亮。

Bono 為什麼一副很冷的樣子，搖滾主唱都這個樣。

一直很納悶 Phil Collins 為何只打鼓不獻聲，

Sting 造型出奇的帥，那兩三年是他最帥的時候。
