1980年發跡於澳州的Icehouse 樂團，
雖然在1981年就曾經以一首「We Can Get Together」在美國排行榜上嶄露頭角，
但之後每張專輯均表現平平，成績差強人意，也沒有太突出的作品。
一直到1987年的「Man of Colours」專輯，
才又以「Crazy 」和「 Electric Blue」兩首單曲重新打入Top 20
在入行堂堂邁入第7個年頭之際，幸運之神終於帶來些許新契機，
然而令人難以想像的是 ~ 這已經是Icehouse這個以Soft Rock見長的樂團所發行的第5張專輯，
俗話說：「戲棚下站久就是你的！」「總有一天等到你！」果然一點都不假。
1987年首先進榜的「Crazy」一掃昔日陰霾，奪下排行第14名，
而節奏明快、流暢有勁的「Electric Blue」則在次年拿下第7名，
算是Icehouse音樂生涯中成績最亮眼的一首歌曲。
來自澳洲的主唱Iva Davies 聲音嘹亮不矯飾，
並負責了「Man of Colours」專輯中大多數的詞曲創作，
但今天要介紹的這首「Electric Blue」
卻是由非常成功的白人靈魂二重唱Hall & Oates中的小鬍子 ~
John Oates所譜寫的作品。
