搖滾樂界神級老團Led Zeppelin 的主唱Robert Plant
和一樣是歐吉桑級的吉他手 Jimmy Page、Jeff Beck等人，
在1984年組成了The Honeydrippers這個曇花一現的超級組合，
並發行了該團唯一一張老歌新唱EP ~ Vol . 1
這首Sea of Love保持了原曲中大量的弦樂編制，
Robert Plant的唱腔少了生猛帶勁的搖滾嘶吼，
慵懶歌聲中魅力依舊，愛慕柔情盡現。
除了某知名香水廣告以及Al Pacino主演的同名電影「激情劊子手」中出現的版本之外，
在本地最廣為熟知也最浪漫動人的應是The Honeydrippers在1984年的翻唱版，
不但散見於各暢銷80合輯中，也是排行銷售成績最好的版本。
